Description

La Vespa Cocina Canaria is an inexpensive restaurant serving Canarian food, with the appearance of a guachinche, in the municipality of La Matanza de Acentejo.

It is close to the main road that runs through the town, in a house with an indoor living-dining room and two small covered terraces.

The decor is somewhat different, with motifs, pictures and photographs of the famous Vespa motorcycles. There are even motorcycles and chassis of these popular motorcycles scattered around the premises.

They have a small private car park. There are also parking areas in the surrounding area, so parking is not a problem.

Their menu is not very extensive, but varied. You can find starters and dishes to share such as salad, grilled cheese, escaldón, sweet potato salad, various croquettes, mushrooms stuffed with almogrote, broken eggs… Some fish dishes such as cod with onions. And meat dishes such as fiesta meat, goat meat, sirloin, secret, entrecote…

They make several varieties of homemade desserts . Tiramisu and lemon mousse are some of their most popular desserts and specialties.

As for wine , they offer red wine from the local winegrowers’ house, as well as fruity white wine served in bulk from a renowned winery on the island.

The staff is attentive and provides good customer service.

Both the amount of food served in portions and the price of the dishes are adequate. They are usually well prepared and presented.

In short, the restaurant La Vespa Cocina Canaria is a cozy place with a peculiar decoration inspired by Vespas, easy to get to, with homemade Canarian food at reasonable prices, with a terrace and where they have a good time.
