Guachinche La Casona , located above the centre of La Orotava, is a traditional guachinche serving authentic Canarian food and grilled meats , which is hard to find fault with or any aspect that could be improved.

It is located on a property surrounded by vineyards, in a magnificent setting with private parking , a very cozy dining room and a fantastic outdoor terrace , excellent service , delicious food , generous portions , reasonable prices , home-grown wine, homemade desserts…

On their menu you can find starters such as cheeses, chickpeas, salads, croquettes, ropa vieja, eggs a la estampida, tamales, escaldón. In grilled meats , options such as sirloin, ribeye, steak, roast chicken and their famous black pig.

The homemade desserts are very fresh, made daily. You will find Uruguayan polvito, 3 leches cake, flan, quesillo and gofio mousse. It is difficult to choose just one.

The wine is excellent, home-grown and served in bulk, both red and fruity white. Both are well worth trying.
