Restaurant “Vale la pena” is an affordable restaurant serving grilled meats , typical Canarian food and also some Cuban dishes .

It is located on the main road near Candelaria, less than 1 kilometre from the southern motorway (exit 17).

Located in an old house on the side of the road, this establishment has an outdoor terrace and a large dining room with high ceilings. It also has private parking for its guests in an adjoining lot.

On their extensive menu you can find starters such as escaldón, chickpeas, salads, grilled cheese, broken eggs, ropa vieja, mushrooms stuffed with almogrote, croquettes, limpets, garlic prawns… Main dishes such as octopus, fiesta meat, goat meat, sirloin tips, fish of the day… And various grilled meats such as steaks, pork chops and sirloins, chicken, ribs with barbecue sauce, Iberian pork, entrecote…

For dessert they offer ice cream, seasonal fruit and some varieties of homemade desserts, such as flan, a version of Uruguayan polvito, various types of cake…

They have fruity house white wine served in bulk, from local producers.

The service provided by the waiters is very good. The dishes are served in generous portions, and the prices are quite affordable.

They also serve liquors, mixed drinks and Cuban mojitos.

The reason why the “Vale la pena” restaurant has such good reviews is because it is a pleasant, affordable place, with good Canarian and Cuban food and grilled meats, with good service, easy to get to and park. A great option in the Candelaria area.
