Description

La Viña Restaurant is an establishment serving Canarian food at affordable prices in the north of Tenerife, in the municipality of La Orotava.

It is a large house within a private plot of land used as a private parking for its clients, located not far from the main road between the towns of San Antonio and La Perdoma.

It is located in an elevated area, surrounded by vegetation and with few buildings around, thanks to which it has wonderful views over the valley of La Orotava and the sea. In fact, the restaurant has indoor dining rooms , and a covered gallery with large windows where you can have lunch or dinner enjoying the air and the views.

It is a clean and well decorated place, with comfortable wooden furniture.

On the menu you can find starters and dishes to share such as vegetable stew, escaldón, grilled cheese, almogrote with toast, salads, chickpeas, garlic prawns, grilled mushrooms, scrambled eggs, different types of croquettes, scrambled eggs with mushrooms and prawns… Fish dishes such as cod with onions, grilled grouper and salmon… Meat dishes such as sirloin prepared in different ways, Iberian pork, rabbit stew, party meat…

They make homemade desserts daily, as well as ice creams, sorbets and cornets. They make varieties such as gofio mousse, grandma’s cake, quesillo…

They have a fruity red and white wine from the house, served in bulk, from winegrowers on the island. They also have a small variety of bottles from both national and island wineries.

The atmosphere is great, very relaxed. The service is also usually good, very friendly and helpful.

It is a great place to go as a couple, also with family or friends.

They accept reservations and celebrations of all kinds, such as weddings, birthdays, business lunches, etc.

The prices are very good. Higher than in the more austere and traditional guachinches, but cheaper than other restaurants of a similar category.

The quantity of food served in portions, the preparation of the dishes and the quality of the products used are all very good, highlighting the quality-price ratio of the restaurant’s offering.

If you fancy tasting good food, desserts and local wine, in a magnificent setting with good views, with reasonable prices, the ease of having private parking and where you will be well attended, La Viña Restaurant is one of the places to consider.
