Las Cuevas de Abuela , also previously known as Cuevas Mama Antonia, is a modern guachinche serving Canarian food in the upper part of Candelaria.

It is an establishment with rustic decoration, but very elegant and cozy, which has a large indoor dining room and other smaller ones hidden inside caves.

It has a large private parking lot for its customers on the same land where the restaurant is located.

They prepare traditional Canarian dishes along with other more modern dishes .

On the menu you can find starters and dishes to share such as grilled cheese or camembert, escaldón, various salads, sweet potato salad, croquettes, fabada, chickpeas, mushrooms, almogrote sandwiches with sweet potato, scrambled eggs… Fish dishes such as stewed or fried cod with peppers, grilled tuna with mojo… Meat dishes such as chicken, steaks, chops, sirloins, bichillo, knuckle, Iberian secret, entrecote, sirloin strips, yearling steak…

They have desserts from well-known island brands with many varieties, such as Uruguayan polvito, grandmother’s cake, passion fruit dessert…

They have house red wine , served in bulk, from independent winegrowers in the north of the island.

The service from all the staff is quite good, friendly and approachable, willing to help.

The prices are reasonable, in line with the quality of the food and the quantity served in the portions , which are not scarce.

They accept reservations and you can organize small events in their facilities such as birthdays, baptisms, communions, business meals or meals for groups of friends, etc.
