Guachinche El Pino

Guachinche El Pino is a popular Canarian food restaurant in the municipality of Los Realejos, in the north of Tenerife.

It is located on the ground floor of a premises next to the street, in a residential neighborhood of single-family and self-built houses.

Getting to the premises is not very difficult. It is not far from exit 39 of the northern motorway.

There is no private parking available. There are plenty of parking spaces in the surrounding streets, although it is not always easy to find parking nearby, as it is a popular and busy place at peak times on weekends and holidays.

Their menu is varied. You can find starters and dishes to share such as cheeses, escaldón, Padrón peppers, salad, limpets, mussels, sandwiches (with shredded beef or cod with sweet potato), stuffed mushrooms, chickpeas, Canarian ranch, fabada, fish churros, croquettes, eggs with popcorn… Fish dishes such as stewed octopus or Galician style, salted or onion cod… Meat dishes such as ribs with pineapple, sweetbreads, chicken drumsticks, party meat, fried rabbit…

Their clients usually highlight the Galician-style octopus, goat meat and fried rabbit, some of their most popular specialties.

Their desserts are homemade. They make varieties such as Uruguayan polvito, grandmother’s afternoon, 3 chocolate dessert…

They have house wine served in bulk, both red and fruity white, from winegrowers on the islands and which their customers usually praise.

The prices are quite reasonable, very affordable. The portions are adequate, and the food is very well prepared.

The staff is usually very attentive and friendly, providing good recommendations.

In short, Guachinche El Pino is a great place for Canarian food at reasonable prices, with good wine, delicious desserts, a variety of options, great service and easy to get to.
