Bodegón La Cueva del Guanche is a restaurant serving typical Canarian food and grilled meats located in the municipality of La Orotava.
It is located on a farm situated at kilometre 7 of the main road that connects La Orotava with Teide (TF-21).
It is a peculiar, cozy and charming place that has dining rooms inside caves, and an outdoor terrace , both covered and open-air.
Their menu is varied. You can find starters such as cheeses, peppers, escaldón, salads, fried eggs, mushrooms, prawns, croquettes, sirloin tips, fabada… Fish dishes such as stewed or onion-fried cod, cod, squid, fish fillet… Meat dishes , in sauce, goat, blood sausages and sausages… And grilled meats such as entrecote, sirloin, bichillo, Iberian pork, cheek…
They make delicious homemade desserts , served in large portions. You will find at least 3 or 4 varieties to choose from, such as quesillo, gofio dessert…
They have house wine served in bulk, both red and fruity white, very tasty, which you can also buy to take home. They have a small wine cellar with a good selection of wines from wineries on the islands and the peninsula.
Both the size of the portions and the price of the dishes are quite adequate, with a good relationship between quality and price.
The service is quite good, fast and friendly. The waiters are very attentive, willing to help and advise.
There is no private parking available, although nearby you can find land or margins where you can park your car without disturbing traffic.
If you are looking for a somewhat different place where you can enjoy good Canarian food and grilled meats, with a terrace, easy access by car, with good service, quality and prices, Bodegón La Cueva del Guanche is an option worth considering.

Malísimo
Comida cruda, lo devolvimos y vino de nuevo cruda el vino afrutado malísimo. Devolvimos la carne de nuevos que no la queríamos más y la cobraron…el queso asado casi no llega y lo trajeron con las carnes asadas los calamares crudos.
