The Estrella Polar Bar Restaurant is a traditional restaurant in the heart of Santa Cruz de Tenerife that serves Canarian dishes along with some Andalusian and Asturian specialties.

The restaurant is located in an old house, with tables spread out in small rooms and dining rooms inside. It also has a covered outdoor terrace right in front of the restaurant. The place is clean and tastefully decorated, with the appearance of a traditional bar or guachinche.

On their extensive and varied menu , you can find dishes that are typical of Canarian cuisine, such as escaldón, chickpeas, cheese with mojo, fried eggs, sardines, dogfish, squid, grilled fish, stewed octopus, fiesta meat, meat with potatoes, ribs with pineapple and potatoes, chicken breast, entrecote… along with dishes more typical of Andalusian and Asturian cuisine, such as salmorejo, patatas bravas, snails and cachopo. In addition, they often have some varieties of dishes that are not on the menu.

They have options for celiacs (gluten-free), controlling and avoiding cross contamination.

They make delicious homemade desserts that vary, such as goat cheese flan with palm honey, or Uruguayan polvito, to name a few.

They have house red wine served in bulk, from local winegrowers.

The service and attention is very good, with a friendly atmosphere, they are very pleasant and cheerful people, willing to help.

The prices are reasonable, in line with the amount of food served, and very economical considering the quality of the food.

The Estrella Polar Restaurant is highly regarded and valued by its customers, as it is a restaurant in the centre of the capital with delicious home-cooked food with a wide range of options and varieties, with good red wine and a range of beers, well-prepared dishes, with reasonable prices and excellent service.
