The owners of La Cueva de Casiano have opened several guachinches in different parts of the island due to the success they are having.

In this case, the guachinche located in Las Moraditas de Taco, a neighborhood on the outskirts of the capital (Santa Cruz de Tenerife), is located in a house that extends into a mountain through small caves with walls graffitied with famous phrases and signatures of clients.

It is a small and cosy place, a modern guachinche with very tasty food based on Canarian products and dishes. However, in summer it tends to be quite hot in the caves.

Their menu shares dishes with the other guachinches of the owner in other municipalities. Thus we find starters and dishes to share such as salads, dressed tomatoes, stuffed mushrooms, grilled cheese, various croquettes, prawn bags, house scrambled eggs, sweet potato with almogrote and honey, broken eggs… In meats they offer Iberian pork, fiesta meat, chicken…

They have some homemade desserts that vary and rotate, such as gofio dessert, maltesers, various cakes…

They offer house wine , both red and fruity white, served in bulk.

The place surprises with the quantity of its portions, the presentation and preparation of its dishes, as well as its reasonable prices .

The establishment does not have private parking, but is located at street level with parking spaces along the street.

If you are in the metropolitan area and you don’t feel like driving many kilometers to go to a modern guachinche, you are looking for a nearby place where you can enjoy good food at affordable prices, the Guachinche La Cueva de Casiano en Taco is a pretty good option.
