Guachinche El Ramal

Description

Guachinche El Ramal is a traditional guachinche located in La Orotava, very close to exit 33 of the northern motorway, specialising in Canarian food and grilled meats , particularly bichillo.

It is a spacious guachinche, with a dining room , an outdoor terrace with views and an adjoining patio , very cosy and with traditional decoration. It has a large private car park for its clients.

On their extensive menu we find dishes to share and starters such as chicken soup, cheeses, salad, croquettes, ropa vieja, chickpeas, fabada, padrón peppers, sausages and chistorras, eggs with a bang… And delicious grilled meats such as their famous bichillo, steak, Iberian pork, roast chicken, chops, ribs…

For dessert, they offer a variety of ice creams and homemade desserts , such as quesillo, 3 leches cake or Uruguayan polvito.

In terms of wines , they offer house red wine  from local producers in the area, and also fruity white wine served in bulk, from a renowned winery on the island.

Due to its proximity to the highway and its large parking lot, it is a convenient place to go to enjoy a good meal, which is tasty and homemade. The prices are quite reasonable, the portions are generous and the service is good.

All this makes the El Ramal guachinche a very busy and popular place, especially on weekends, so you will surely have to wait in line at peak times. It is also ideal for groups of friends, families, and couples with or without children.
