Description

Restaurante Amistad is a popular Canarian cuisine establishment in the Ravelo neighborhood of El Sauzal.

Located on Calle Real Orotava, the main road that runs through the town, the establishment has a large and spacious interior dining room with wooden furniture, a wonderful covered terrace with views at the rear, and occasionally, if the weather is good, they also have some tables outside at the front.

It doesn’t have private parking, but it’s not too difficult to find parking on the street where it’s located and in the surrounding area.

Their menu is quite extensive and varied. You can find starters and sharing dishes such as various salads, soups, cheeses, escaldón, mushrooms prepared in different ways, garlic shrimp, chickpeas, fish croquettes, and more. Fish dishes such as calamari, grilled cuttlefish, grouper, cod with onions, and seafood platters are also available. Main courses include homemade meatballs, fiesta meat, goat meat, cordon bleu, escalope, yearling T-bone steak, steaks, roast chicken, sirloin, entrecote, and more.

For dessert, they usually have natural fruit and a variety of ice creams, as well as some homemade creations such as quesillo, tiramisu, mousses, etc.

In the wine section, they often offer fruity house reds and whites, served in bulk, sourced from island winemakers and wineries. They also have a small selection of bottles from both island and national wineries.

The prices are reasonable, slightly higher than at a traditional guachinche, but very affordable. The portions are adequate, well-stocked, and both the products used and the preparation of the food are generally more than adequate.

The service provided by both the owner and the staff in general is excellent. They provide good advice and are pleasant, providing prompt service.

Thanks to its spacious dining room, it’s a suitable venue for small events such as business lunches or dinners, groups of friends, birthdays, etc.
