Venta El Gomero is an establishment selling Canarian products and food in the centre of La Orotava.

Located next to the Teobaldo Power Auditorium, the premises serves as a traditional shop selling typical products from La Gomera, and as a tavern serving tapas and a variety of Canarian dishes.

It is a small and picturesque place, very well decorated, cozy, with very friendly staff. It has a couple of wooden tables inside, and a covered outdoor terrace with a few more tables.

There is no private parking and parking in the area can be a bit difficult. Above the premises, near the auditorium, there is a car park where you can leave your car for your visit to La Orotava and try out the offer of this sale.

Their menu is usually brief. They always offer some starters and tapas, along with some main dishes that usually vary. They usually have a board of Canarian cheeses, almogrote gomero, roasted leg, Canarian ranch… and dishes like fabada or garbanzas, fried calamari, fiesta meat… Whatever they serve on the day of your visit, try it because it will be delicious.

They prepare some kind of homemade dessert, such as bienmesabe with ice cream.

As for wines, they have varieties of red and white wines served in bulk from producers on the island. You can also consume bottles from wineries on the islands, or buy them to take home.

As a shop, you can find craft beers from the islands, wines, pastries and cakes from La Gomera, almogrote, palm honey, cheeses, etc.

The food they prepare is delicious, with top quality products and adequate portions. The prices are affordable, and the quality-price ratio is excellent.

The place is intimate, with little capacity, but very cozy and charming. The staff is super friendly and will make you feel at home.

If you are planning to visit La Orotava and are looking for a place in the centre where you can eat and also take home some good gastronomic products, Venta El Gomero is a perfect place, where you will be served magnificently, you will feel at ease, and you will be able to try various Canarian dishes and products at a good price, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner when the weekend approaches.
