Description

La Cueva Restaurant is a restaurant serving typical Canarian food in the Chinamada hamlet, in the Anaga Rural Park, in the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna.

It has a comfortable indoor dining room that leads into a cave dug into the rock, where there are also some tables. Hence its name.

It has a very nice outdoor terrace in the courtyard of the house.

It is a place frequented by hikers and residents who come to Chinamada or areas of Anaga for a walk.

On the menu you can find starters such as stew, cheese, salad, escaldón, chickpeas, ropa vieja, croquettes, broken eggs… And main dishes such as meat with potatoes, fiesta meat, goat meat, tuna in sauce or Canarian stew.

They make homemade desserts such as quesillo, polvito uruguayo, gofio mousse… as well as well-known brand ice creams.

They offer house red wine served in bulk, from independent winegrowers in the north of the island.

The service is very good, very friendly and kind, willing to help.

The prices are adjusted to the amount of food served in the portions and the preparation of their dishes , quite good.

In short, La Cueva Restaurant is a good establishment serving Canarian food made with local products, good desserts and wine, reasonable prices, and a magnificent terrace in a very beautiful natural setting. It is ideal if you are going for a walk around Chinamada or a farmhouse in the Anaga area.
