Guachinche M Chela

Description

Guachinche M Chela is an authentic and traditional guachinche of which there are very few left in Tenerife.

This is a rustic, cosy and small establishment that serves home-grown wine and a few traditional Canarian dishes to accompany it, at very affordable prices .

It is located in Los Realejos, in the Cruz Santa neighborhood. The street on which it is located is quite steep, with no exit, so it is not recommended to enter by car and it is better to look for parking nearby, on Calle Real de la Cruz Santa or surrounding areas.

Their menu is limited and many of their dishes change according to the season and local products. Therefore, it is common to be offered fresh cheese, stuffed eggs, tuna salad, some salted fish and party meat.

Every day they make some totally homemade dessert , usually some type of cake, or the traditional cookies with cheese and guava jam.

They have their own wine, which is usually excellent, both red and white. When they run out of wine, they usually close the guachinche until the new wine harvest arrives.

The service is quite good and friendly, they will take care of you so that you feel at home.

The portion sizes are generous, especially considering how affordable they are.

In short, Guachinche M Chela will not disappoint you if you are looking for a purely traditional guachinche in the Los Realejos area, simple, austere and rustic but welcoming, with excellent wine and traditional Canarian food.
