Un tinto en la cueva is a modern guachinche , with modern and very welcoming decor, serving Canarian food and grilled meats in the municipality of La Matanza de Acentejo.

It is located on the main road, in an area where parking is somewhat difficult, although there is an area where you can park right in front of the establishment.

It is a small but very well decorated and very cosy place, which has a magnificent indoor dining room and a wonderful covered outdoor terrace. Ideal for lunches or dinners with your partner, friends, coworkers…

Their menu is not as extensive as in a restaurant, but more varied in a typical guachinche. You can find starters and dishes to share such as cheeses (fresh, grilled or cured), salad, stew, escaldón, sweet potato salad, battered mushrooms, garlic prawns, chickpeas, fried eggs… And main dishes such as squid, fiesta meat, fried ribs, bichillo, Iberian pork or grilled meat.

They make a variety of homemade desserts, as well as various dessert options from well-known island brands.

They offer house red wine from northern winegrowers, as well as fruity white wines served in bulk from renowned wineries on the island. They also have a small selection of bottles of wine from Canary and national wineries.

The service provided by the staff is usually very good, an aspect that is highlighted by its clients.

The prices are reasonable, appropriate for this type of establishment. The quality of the food is very good, well cooked, and the portions are reasonable.
