Features
Accessible, Homemade desserts, Homemade wine, TakeawayDescription
Suso el Pintor is a traditional guachinche that makes and sells its own wine, harvested from its own vineyard, accompanied by some traditional Canarian dishes.
It is located in the La Corujera neighborhood , in Santa Úrsula, on the ground floor of a family home. It consists of an interior dining room with high ceilings, where they have arranged some tables so you can enjoy your wine and your food.
They do not have private parking, but it is in an area of streets and roads with parking areas, so parking relatively close is not very complicated.
Their menu is very brief, as is usually the case with the most traditional guachinches. On it you can find almogrote, fabada, croquettes, eggs with a bang, cuttlefish in sauce, cod with onions or stewed, fiesta meat, roast goat meat, rabbit with garlic…
For dessert they make some homemade varieties, such as pineapple and fig tart, three milk dessert…
Their wine is red, home-grown and served in bulk. It is usually very good, as their customers attest. If you like it and want to take it home, they sell their wine by the litre.
The guachinche is usually open for about 5 months a year, the time that their wine lasts. As soon as they run out, they close the business and reopen with the arrival of the next harvest.
The prices are quite reasonable, and the portions are adequate.
In short, if you are looking for an authentic guachinche that stands out for its good homemade wine, with delicious Canarian food, homemade desserts and at an affordable price, this place is a good option that has a good base of regular customers.
