La ruta del guachinche (los establos)

Description

La Ruta del Guachinche is a modern-style guachinche in La Laguna, located in the space previously occupied by the now defunct Los Establos restaurant.

It is located on top of a hill overlooking La Laguna, in an area with very cosy indoor rooms and a wonderful outdoor terrace in what was once a stables and equestrian centre. They have a large private car park for their clients.

On their extensive menu you can find starters and dishes to share such as cheeses, dressed tomatoes, salad, escaldón, chickpeas, croquettes, mushrooms, sweet potato sandwiches, different varieties of eggs with potatoes, fried aubergines… Meat dishes such as fiesta meat, meat with potatoes, ribs with potatoes and pineapple, chicken breast, Iberian tears, a combination of sausages, chistorras and blood sausage… Fish dishes such as cod in onions, fish churros, calamari, grilled cuttlefish… And grilled meats such as steaks, sirloins, secret…

They make homemade desserts , such as quesillo and Uruguayan polvito, as well as varieties of desserts from well-known island brands.

They offer house red wine served in bulk, from producers in the north, and fruity white wine from a renowned winery on the island.

Both the portions and the prices of the dishes are very adequate and correct. The service is very good, professional and friendly.

If you are looking for a guachinche with good Canarian food, in a place that is easy to get to and park, with a terrace or spacious rooms, cozy and close to the metropolitan area, this La ruta del guachinche may be a good option.
