Description

Restaurante Destiladera López is a picturesque Canarian food establishment on the northern highway, in the town of Buen Paso in the municipality of Icod de los Vinos.

The premises are located on the ground floor of a two-storey house, facing a section of the main road that has a lay-by with parking spaces on the public road.

It has a large indoor dining room  and a small outdoor terrace with some tables. Inside, there are tables in the dining room and others surrounded by peculiar brick partitions as reserved areas. It has areas decorated with natural stone, ornamented with plants, giving the place a very peculiar appearance.

On the menu you can find starters such as cheeses, soups, salads, chickpeas, omelettes, fried or scrambled eggs, croquettes, garlic prawns… Fish dishes such as roasted cuttlefish, fish fillets, squid, octopus in vinaigrette… Meat dishes such as goat meat, steaks, T-bone, blood sausages, chorizos and chistorras, barbecue for several people…

They have some homemade desserts, such as their popular quesillo with cream served in glasses.

As for wines, they offer both red and fruity white wines from the house, served in bulk, from winegrowers on the island.

The service provided is excellent, the staff is attentive, polite and very friendly. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable.
