Mesón Los Gemelos is one of the best affordable restaurants serving Canarian food, specialising in fish from Puerto de la Cruz and the north of the island in general.

It is a cozy place , with a dining room, covered patio and outdoor terrace , which you will always find full and where you will have to wait in line.

The service is very attentive and friendly, quite fast for the number of diners that usually attend.

The reason there are so many people is that the fish is magnificent, as is its preparation, excellent prices, generous portions, very good service, welcoming atmosphere and a well-located place, right in the centre of Puerto de la Cruz.

On the menu you can find starters and dishes to share such as salads, stew, cheeses, prawns, chickpeas, mussels, octopus in vinaigrette… As main fish dishes you can find grouper, sama, cod, hake, grilled fish and seafood, octopus, cuttlefish, fried squid… They even have meat options , such as sirloin, entrecote, escalopes, grilled meat…

They often offer some dishes off the menu, depending on the genre and the local products they get from their suppliers.

The desserts are homemade. They make flan and quesillos, tiramisu, bienmesabe, house cake… and also ice cream daily.

As for wines, they have red, white and rosé wines from local producers, generally from La Victoria. They also offer bottles from various wineries, both from Tenerife and nationally.

If you fancy tasting fish and seafood at affordable prices, in a welcoming environment where you will be well served, Mesón Los Gemelos is one of the best options in the northern part of the island.
