Guachinche La Cernidera (Las Cuevas) is a traditional Canarian food establishment that is very picturesque and welcoming in La Orotava.

It is located on the provincial road, near exit 32 of the northern motorway, in a traditional and old Canarian house.

It has private parking for its clients, and has a magnificent outdoor terrace in the courtyard of the house. The surroundings and the details of the place are magnificent, very cozy .

Their food is delicious and prepared with great care. On their simple menu you can find starters such as fresh or grilled cheese, wrinkled potatoes with mojo sauce, mushrooms stuffed with almogrote, octopus timbale, ropa vieja, fabada, sausages and chistorras. Main dishes such as tuna in salmorejo, dogfish, or bichillo.

They make delicious homemade desserts daily, such as quesillo or brownie with ice cream.

As for wine, they have a fruity red and white wine from the house served in bulk, both from independent producers on the island, which their customers value very positively.

The service provided by both owners and employees is very attentive, efficient and charming.

The prices are quite good, very economical considering the good quality of the food and the portions served on each plate, not small and well proportioned.

If you are looking for a cosy and charming guachinche, not as popular and well-known as others, where they happily serve good Canarian food at good prices, Guachinche La Cernidera (Las Cuevas) is a great option and highly recommended.
