Casa Riquelme

Description

Casa Riquelme is a small, simple and picturesque restaurant located in a privileged setting, in the town of Masca, municipality of Buenavista del Norte.

In the middle of the Masca village, along a steep, cobbled path, we reach Casa Riquelme, which has a small, cosy interior dining room with stone walls and rustic wooden furniture; and a wonderful terrace and outdoor patio with excellent views of the Masca ravine and rock.

As a restaurant, their menu is very simple. They offer a considerable plate of sausages, cheeses and olives, very tasty and well presented, accompanied by excellent bread. They have delicious local wrinkled potatoes, with good sauces. Chicken stew in sauce. And sometimes they make paellas for several people.

For dessert, they only have Tirma brand ambrosia, very typical in the Canary Islands.

And to drink, only wine, beer or water.

As you can see, everything is very simple, but delicious. This is a place that is difficult to access, somewhat remote, where the most remarkable thing is the setting and being able to have a simple drink while enjoying the views, the sunset… whether as a couple, with friends, or even alone.

If you care more about the surroundings than the food itself, and you want to enjoy a spectacular, natural, remote place, where there is a “good vibe” and not too crowded, visiting Casa Riquelme can be an interesting experience.
