Bodegón Tío Julio is a Canarian restaurant located in the town of Buzanada, in the municipality of Arona, which has been open since 1957.

This is a family business with a cosy and comfortable dining room with rustic décor and traditional utensils, and a magnificent covered outdoor terrace at the back of the establishment. They have a private car park for their customers.

Their menu is very extensive and varied. You can find starters and dishes to share such as soup of the day, various salads, assorted dishes and cheese boards, mushrooms and garlic prawns, escaldón, roasted leg, homemade croquettes, ropa vieja, breaded mushrooms, mushrooms stuffed with almogrote, limpets and mussels, sausages and chistorras, fried eggs, goat meat… Fish dishes such as fried or stewed octopus, salted grouper, cod in onion sauce, roast cuttlefish… And grilled meats such as chicken, steaks, chops, sirloins, Iberian pork, T-bone steaks, entrecote, mixed grill…

They make homemade desserts such as quesillo, as well as a wide variety of desserts from well-known pastry brands on the island. However, they are very well presented on a board.

They offer house red wine from winegrowers in the north, and fruity white wine from a renowned winery on the island, both served in bulk. They also have bottles from wineries on the island and national ones.

The service is quite good, very helpful and friendly.

The dishes are very well presented , with considerable portions , well prepared and also with reasonable prices.

All of this makes Bodegón Tío Julio a good option to enjoy grilled meats and homemade Canarian food at reasonable prices in the south of Tenerife, either on its terrace or in its cosy lounge, in a place that is easy to get to and park in, where they provide good service.
