La Cueva Caprichosa is a picturesque restaurant serving grilled meats and modern Canarian food at reasonable prices, just like a modern guachinche.
One of its main attractions is that it is nestled inside a natural cave, which has been converted into a restaurant with a cozy and modern decoration.
It is located in the Barranco Grande neighborhood, in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Outside there is private parking for its clients, as well as land with animals such as turkeys, ducks, ponies, horses… which will delight children.
This is a very popular and busy place on the island due to the characteristics of the place, its decoration, its dishes and the quality of its food, its wine selection, and its reasonable prices.
Their menu is extensive and varied. You can find starters and dishes to share such as soups and stews, grilled cheese, escaldón, various salads and timbales, croquettes, aubergine sandwiches, breaded or stuffed mushrooms with almogrote, sweet potato salad, toast, fried eggs, bao bread, meat delicacies… Seafood dishes such as squid, sardines, grilled tuna, octopus timbale, fish churros, squid… Meat dishes and grilled meats such as hamburgers, goat meat, steaks, sirloins, chops and T-bone steaks, rabbit, chicken, t-bone, tomahawk, grills…
For dessert they have some homemade varieties, as well as quesillo and other varieties from well-known pastry brands on the island.
They offer fruity red and white wines served in bulk from the island’s winery, which is common in the restaurant sector. They also have an excellent wine cellar with a good selection of bottles from national and island wineries.
The staff is attentive , friendly, polite and willing to help.
The restaurant’s prices are reasonable, with a magnificent quality-price ratio, and the portions are not small either.
La Cueva Caprichosa is a highly recommended establishment to visit and try on occasion due to its striking decoration and location. But the service and food are also good, and the prices are reasonable. Easy to get to and park, close to the metropolitan area.

NO MUY BUENO, LA VERDAD
La COMIDA es rica pero hay puntualidades a reseñar, por ejemplo:
CERVEZA SIN ALCOHOL no tienen , de hecho solo tienen bebidas con alcohol, no le dan al cliente opción al cliente que no beba alcohol, salvo el agua , claro, a dios gracias 🙏
ROPA VIEJA, muy grasienta, salsa insipida y excesiva carne mechada y muy poco garbanzo, nada de zanahoria, nada de resto de aderezos y ponen papas fritas muy mal fritas … Nada recomendable
ENSALADA MANZANA, la presentación muy bonita pero que no dejan al uso y disfrute del comensal sino que con la misma que trae el plato, el mismo camarero con un cuchillo corta todo , quita los palillos que hacían de pinchito y lo mezcla todo como un revoltillo…es decir, el trabajo del cocinero lo malogra el camarero en la mesa
CARNE CABRA, muy insipida, salsa extraña, y carne de cabra solo trozos con grasa excesiva …No recomendable
POSTRES, todos de chocolate, la única opción sin chocolate es el quesillo, que al probarlo, pues mmmm quesillo lo que es quesillo, no es
AMBIENTE, mucho hombre borrachín, y en el parking espectacular pareja borrachita armándola tipo kinkis , mirando los coches, metiéndose con los clientes que entraban al local, también entraban y salían está pareja borrachitos a las mesas a voz alzada etc etc ..en fin el ambiente allí pues no es lo que era antes este lugar
Recomendaciones a los dueños o nuevo equipo que sirve en la Cueva Caprichosa:
Lo primero es poner cubiertos a los clientes, porque siempre se les olvida
Luego poner casos, porque te ponen las bebidas y si no pides vasos o copas o jarras pues no te ponen nada , ¿Será que creen que los clientes han de beber a morro por las botellas?
🫡 Habían 5 mesas y el camarero y la camarera de gafas que tenía a su bebé en brazos estaban súper desbordados desordenados etc etc
