Description

Guachinche El Fogón is a traditional, family-run guachinche, serving delicious grilled meats and Canarian food in the Los Baldíos neighbourhood in La Laguna, near the North Airport.

It is a very popular establishment due to its many strengths, such as the quality of its meats, low prices and good service , proximity to the metropolitan area, private parking , among others.

On their menu we can find starters and dishes to share such as cheeses, salads, various croquettes, escaldón, chickpeas, fried eggs, party meat, ribs with pineapple and potatoes… They usually offer some fish option, such as octopus or cod. Grilled meats are where their menu shines, with delicious pieces of sirloin, steaks, bichillo, Iberian pork, roast chicken… In addition, sometimes they have some suggestions and dishes of the day that are not on the menu.

As for desserts , they usually have some homemade varieties that rotate. It is common to find quesillo, grandma’s cake, gofio mousse…

As for wines , they have house red wine , made by independent producers, and also fruity white wine served in bulk from a renowned winery on the island.

To eat, you can choose to eat in the dining room , or go to the open-air terrace they have set up on a plot of land at the back of the establishment.

If you are in the metropolitan area (Santa Cruz, La Laguna and surrounding areas) and you don’t feel like travelling far to enjoy good Canarian food and delicious grilled meats at really affordable prices, Guachinche El Fogón is a great choice and a great recommendation.
