La Tasca El Tenique is a traditional, family-run restaurant specialising in Canarian fish dishes , located in the María Jiménez neighbourhood of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the capital.

It is a small salon located on a narrow road surrounded by valleys and nature. In the surroundings of the premises there are some small plots and lay-bys where you can park your car.

The menu includes starters or dishes to share such as cheeses, shrimp, fish churros, dressed tomatoes, salad, escaldón, chickpeas, limpets, baby squid, and eggs a la estampida. Delicious seafood dishes such as salted fish, fish with onions, fried goatfish, squid in sauce, dogfish, tuna in mojo sauce. The service is very good and friendly, and the prices are quite affordable, especially considering that the portions of their dishes are not exactly small.
