Description

El Ventorrillo is a restaurant serving typical Canarian food, with local wine and homemade desserts in the tourist town of Los Cristianos, in the municipality of Arona.

It is located on a promenade near the Port of Los Cristianos. On the ground floor of a premises that has a very well decorated interior dining room with rustic motifs. It has a large, very pleasant outdoor terrace.

There is no private parking available. Parking in the area is generally difficult, so you may have to use paid parking, or leave your car far away and walk to the restaurant.

On their menu you will find a variety of options and varieties from different areas. As tapas, starters, dishes to snack on and share, you can find watercress stew, cheese board, grilled cheese, salads, sweet potato salad, croquettes, escaldón, potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, sweet potato and almogrote timbale, chickpeas, octopus ropa vieja, broken eggs… Fish dishes such as squid in sauce, grouper, cod with onions, sardines, stewed octopus… And meat dishes such as entrecote, goat meat, party meat, chops…

They offer some fixed dessert varieties, and others specific to the day, all homemade  and usually very tasty and well appreciated by their customers. They also have ice cream.

As for wines, they have a fruity red and white house wine served in bulk, from wineries and winegrowers on the island.

The service provided by the staff and the owner is very good. They are kind and friendly people, with good manners.

The portions are more than enough, and the quality and preparation of the dishes is very good. The prices are fair, more expensive than a traditional guachinche, but overall the quality-price ratio is very good, especially considering that we are in the middle of a tourist area.

In short, El Ventorrillo is a restaurant serving good Canarian food, local wine and homemade desserts, with great service and reasonable prices in the heart of Los Cristianos.
