El Salón Restaurant is an establishment specializing in fish and seafood , Canarian style, in the municipality of La Matanza de Acentejo.

It is a well-known and popular restaurant, which has spacious and bright dining rooms , as well as a magnificent outdoor terrace on the roof of the building in which it is located, with impressive views of Mount Teide.

There is no private parking, but there are plenty of public parking spaces nearby and it is not usually very difficult to park in the surrounding area.

On the menu you can find starters such as fresh cheese, salad, fish soup, limpets, shrimp, escaldón, croquettes, wrinkled potatoes, fried moray eel, fabada, pinto beans… Meat dishes such as kid or pork steak. And delicious seafood dishes such as octopus, grilled cuttlefish, squid prepared in different ways, dogfish, salted grouper, conger eel in sauce, and fresh fish prepared in a simple but delicious way, whether stewed, fried, cooked on the back…

The desserts are homemade . You can find cheesecake, rice pudding, chocolate flan, yogurt or lemon cream, and chopped seasonal fruit.

As for wines, they have a house red wine served in bulk, from independent producers in the area. They have bottles of white, rosé and red wines from renowned wineries on the island and national ones.

The prices are adequate and adjusted to both the quality of the raw materials and the quantity of the portions .

The service is good and fast despite the number of customers and diners that usually occur, they are kind and friendly. On holidays and weekends we recommend that you make a reservation.

If you want to eat quality fresh fish and typical Canarian seafood dishes, at fair prices and where you will receive good treatment, you should definitely consider this El Salón Restaurant, where you can also choose from its magnificent terrace with views, or its spacious and cozy interior rooms.
