Restaurante Alameda “Casa Tomasín”

Description

The Alameda Restaurant, also known as Casa Tomasín, is an affordable restaurant serving traditional Canarian and La Gomera food in the town of Agulo.

It is located on the ground floor of a family home with an entrance to a wonderful private outdoor terrace, from which we can access its indoor dining room if we prefer.

It does not have a private car park, but next to the restaurant there is a large public car park area, although it is usually almost full.

On its menu we can find starters such as grilled cheese with palm honey, watercress stew, almogrote, chickpeas, dressed tomatoes, croquettes, Russian salad… Fish dishes such as tuna in mojo sauce or grilled, fish churros, grilled cuttlefish… Meat dishes such as chicken breast, fried pork or meat with potatoes.

They make homemade desserts, such as baked milk, lemon mousse, gofio, empalmado…

They have house red wine in bulk, from winegrowers on the island, as well as fruity white wine from a renowned Tenerife winery. They also have a few bottles from wineries on the islands and national ones.

The service is quite good, the waiters and staff are friendly, kind and willing to help.

The prices are reasonable, in line with the quality of the food and the quantity served in their portions.

For all these reasons, the Alameda Restaurant is one of the best options for lunch or dinner in the municipality of Agulo and to enjoy a good home-cooked meal, with good service, either on the terrace or in its dining room.
