Guachinche de Leti

Description

Guachinche de Leti is a traditional guachinche of Canarian food and home-grown wine located in the town of Vera de Erques, in the upper part of the municipality of Guía de Isora.

It is a family-run restaurant that offers traditional Canarian cuisine, located in a rural area known for its  picturesque landscapes.

It has a single indoor dining room, with a simple and traditional appearance, clean and with wooden furniture, in which there are approximately 10 tables.

It has an esplanade set up as a private parking lot for its clients, so arriving and parking is not a problem.

The menu includes a good selection of typical Canarian dishes. You can order dishes such as escaldón, garbanzas, beans, stewed octopus, grouper, fiesta meat, ribs with potatoes and pineapple, and of course fried baifo, one of their specialties and most popular dish.

As for desserts, they offer some homemade options, such as quesillo and some homemade cakes based on coffee, milk and chocolate, which are very delicious.

The wine they offer is red and homemade, served in bulk. Very good.

The  prices are affordable. Both the preparation of the food and the products used are good. And the portions served are quite good. All in all, it offers very good value for money.

The staff provides friendly service. Together with the cozy and familiar atmosphere, they will make you feel comfortable to enjoy your traditional meal.

The guachinche is usually open for only 4-5 months a year, as long as the wine they produced during the last harvest lasts. Therefore, it is advisable to go from October-November, until approximately February.

In short, Guachinche de Leti is an authentic traditional guachinche in the south of Tenerife, offering a magnificent culinary experience in a charming setting, with well-prepared traditional dishes, home-grown wine, good service, easy parking… An excellent option to enjoy Canarian cuisine in the Guía de Isora area.
