Guachinche Las Chozas, also known as “El Pastor”, is a traditional Canarian food establishment, specializing in grilled meats and local wine, in the municipality of La Orotava.

Inside an old house we find various indoor dining rooms, as well as different covered spaces where to eat and a magnificent outdoor terrace.

They have a plot of land available as a private parking lot for their clients. In addition, there is parking available on the road where the house is located.

It is a well-known, simple and familiar guachinche.

On the menu you can find starters and dishes to share such as fresh or grilled cheese, escaldón, croquettes, Russian salad, fried eggs, chickpeas… Dishes such as cod or goat meat. And delicious grilled meats such as steaks, chops, chicken, beef, churrasco, and various grills for different numbers of people.

The homemade desserts they make daily are delicious. You can find varieties such as Uruguayan polvito, quesillo, chocolate flan…

The house wines are very tasty, both the red and the white. They are served in bulk and come from winegrowers on the island.

The service from the owner, the employees and the waiters is very good. They are attentive, friendly and helpful.

The prices are affordable, the usual for a classic guachinche. The amount of food served in the portions is correct, as is its preparation and flavor.

All of this makes Guachinche Las Chozas a popular and frequented place in La Orotava. A good option to enjoy Canarian food and grilled meats, good desserts and local wine, at affordable prices, as well as receiving good service and having parking on the premises itself.
