Description

Guachinche La Bodega is a traditional guachinche as they offer homemade Canarian food and grilled meats to accompany home-grown wine, in the municipality of Santa Úrsula.

It is located on the main or provincial highway (TF-217), not far from the northern highway.

To get there, you will find an access ramp that goes down to the back of a building. The guachinche occupies the ground floor of this building which is accessed from behind, and in front of it there is a parking area for its clients.

El Guachinche has large indoor dining rooms, with wooden furniture and rustic and simple decoration. It is clean and welcoming. They have also set up an outside terrace, from where there are views of their vineyards.

On their menu you can find starters and dishes to share such as cheeses, almogrote, dressed tomatoes, potato salad, croquettes, octopus stew, Padrón peppers, fabada, chickpeas, fried eggs, goat meat… Their fantastic fried octopus, and also stewed. And great grilled meats such as black Iberian pork, entrecote, steaks, bichillo, secreto, chicken… accompanied by fried or wrinkled potatoes.

Of all their offerings, two of their most popular and valued dishes are goat meat and fried octopus.

They make homemade desserts, varieties such as quesillo, tiramisu, timba canaria… They also have ice cream from well-known brands.

The wine is home-grown, red and served in bulk, highly appreciated by its customers.

The staff is very friendly, helpful and efficient. The prices are very reasonable and very affordable. The portions are considerable and the preparation of the food is more than adequate.
