Guachinche El Buen Comer is a restaurant serving homemade Canarian food in the El Portezuelo neighbourhood, in the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna.

It is located near the northern highway and Los Rodeos Airport, on a cross street of the main northern highway.

This is a traditional house with a small covered outdoor terrace and a simple but cozy indoor dining room.

There is no parking available for customers. In the area it is possible to find public parking lots, verges and lots where you can park your car, although it can be a bit difficult to find a space during peak times.

The menu is simple but with a good representation of traditional dishes. You can find starters, tapas and dishes to share such as grilled cheese, escaldón, Russian salad, croquettes, chickpeas, peas, goat meat, fiesta meat and fried rabbit, one of their specialties.

They have delicious homemade desserts that are highly appreciated by their customers, such as quesillo, polvito uruguayo, white chocolate dessert…

The house wine is from the north, red, served in bulk and sourced from independent winegrowers. Very good.

The service is unbeatable, the staff is very friendly, kind and willing to help and advise promptly.

The prices are good and reasonable. Combined with the fact that the portions are not small and the food is usually tasty and well prepared, the result is a great quality-price ratio.

In short, Guachinche El Buen Comer is an ideal option to enjoy authentic, home-cooked Canarian food in a welcoming and family atmosphere, where you can also enjoy delicious homemade desserts and local wine, in a place where, although it may be a bit difficult to park, it is well connected and close at hand, near the motorway and the northern airport.
