Guachinche El Barco

Description

Guachinche El Barco is one of the few traditional Canarian food guachinches specialising in fish and seafood.

It is located on a steep street in La Victoria, above the town centre, on the ground floor of a family house with a large living room. In front of it they have set aside a plot of land as a private parking for their clients.

The variety on their menu is not very large. They offer some starters and dishes to share such as fish soup, escaldón, cheese, chickpeas or salad. As for fish, you can find octopus, cuttlefish, shrimp, limpets, moray eels and pieces of fresh fish of the day that can be prepared however you like, fried, grilled, cooked on the back…

They make some homemade desserts , such as Uruguayan polvito, lemon pie, coffee dessert…

They have home-grown wine , both fruity white and red, served in bulk.

Although fish is an expensive raw material, customers are often surprised by the low prices, the quality of the products, as well as the quantity served in the portions .

If you love fish and Canarian food, Guachinche El Barco is one of the best options you will find in the north of Tenerife to enjoy a quality and affordable meal.
