Casa Pautonia

Description

Casa Pautonia is an establishment serving homemade Canarian food in the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna.

This is a small family business located on a small street of houses and family homes near the old bus station in La Laguna.

It consists of an indoor dining room and a bar where you can also eat.

There is no private parking, but there are public parking spaces in the nearby streets, as well as lots designated as free parking. However, during peak times it can be difficult to find a space. There are also some paid parking lots as an alternative.

The menu includes some fixed dishes and other options that vary according to the season and availability of products. You can find starters and dishes to share such as dressed tomatoes, escaldón, cheeses, croquettes, Padrón peppers, breaded mushrooms, fish churros… Main dishes such as meat and chicken fiesta, steak, squid, tuna in mojo sauce, rabbit offal, sardines, breaded chicken breast, baby squid…

Leave room for dessert. They make several varieties of homemade desserts that change depending on the day, season… you can find homemade cheesecake or cake, which are usually quite delicious.

The wines, both red and fruity white, are served in bulk and come from independent winegrowers on the island.

The prices  are competitive and the portions are large. The food is also well prepared and very tasty. This translates into excellent value for money.

The service is friendly and attentive. The place is simple and clean, with a somewhat austere decoration, like a good typical neighborhood bar.

If you are in La Laguna and you fancy eating well and cheaply, trying the island’s wine and some delicious dessert in an authentic, neighbourhood bar, where there is a good atmosphere and good service, Casa Pautonia is a great option.
