Bodegón Viana is a popular Canarian food establishment, founded in 1976, in the heart of San Cristóbal de La Laguna.

Located on the popular Viaja Street, this tavern is decorated with wood and a rustic feel, with tiled floors and wooden furniture. It has a small outdoor terrace with a few tables.

There is no parking available, as it is located on a pedestrian street in the heart of the city center. Finding parking in the area can be difficult, and you’ll likely have to use paid parking.

Their menu is extensive and varied, offering a wide range of Canarian dishes. You’ll find starters and nibbles such as fish soup, Canarian ranch, various salads, grilled cheese, almogrote, escaldón, Russian salad, baby squid, breaded mushrooms, chickpeas, gueldes, croquettes, and more. Fish dishes such as marinated tuna, grilled grouper, calamari, fried or stewed octopus, and grilled cuttlefish are also available. And meat dishes such as carne fiesta, steaks, Iberian secreto, chicken breast, and ribs with potatoes and pineapple are also available.

They have some homemade desserts, such as mousses, cakes, quesillo, bienmesabe…

In the wine section, they have both house red wine served in bulk, as well as a good selection of bottles from island and national wineries.

The prices are appropriate for this type of establishment, with very good food preparation and reasonable portion sizes.

Both the service provided by the staff and the cleanliness of the place are quite good.

All in all, the value for money is very good, and the experience of enjoying a good traditional meal is quite enjoyable. This is why the establishment is often busy, especially during peak hours and on weekends.
